Description

Name: Alistair Wollf
Age: 21 – June 21, 1991
Species: Hybrid [Classified]
Partner: None
Languages: Fluent in German and English.
Ability: Micro Insight
▹ Looking at anything none organic he can tell instantly how it works or what Is wrong with it. It has to be in eyesight as he has to see it for it to work. It can last a long time on smaller objects, but larger complex items will wear him out quicker. And any more than one thing at a time can overload him.

The ability is continuous and unable for him to will it away in his current control of it. It can be blocked or pressed however. But covering his eyes it blocks him from seeing, thus in a way disables the ability.
Once he has seen an object, his brain creates what would be described as a 3D blueprint in his memories that he can call up and look at again with enough focus. These can be used when trying to recreate or fix objects. When fixing it his eyes will compare the blueprint to the object he is looking at, and find what is out of place, wrong, or not supposed to be there.

Objects he is very familiar with, such as his laptop or things he has himself built will not spark the blueprint creation in his brain any longer. After seeing them a good five or more times they will stop showing up as a new object to his vision and will not stress his body out to look at them.
While it does not change the rest of his vision as a whole his focus will narrow down onto the new object, becoming the central focus, as if looking through a tunnel the edges of his vision becoming less important to his consciousness. The object in a sense becomes the 3D blueprint; he can see the wiring, the flow of electricity, its batteries and even its coding written into its program. The length of time in which it appears like this depends on the item size and complexity. In his sight it loads a bit like an image would on a computer, analyzing from one side to the other creating the blueprint in his brain. Once complete his vision will return to normal, no longer tunneled in on the object.

Due to that effect though it is rather important he had a guard or watcher if he is to be out where he could get hurt from the lack of ability to look away, defend himself, or move properly as he won’t be able to look way and thus see where he is going or what is around him. And can easily blunder into danger when trapped like this.

While he can remember recent things he has seen and recorded he cannot possibly remember the sheer volume of things he has come across thought his life. This brain copes with this in a special way. These blueprints are not stored in his active memories but are still indeed there to be called up at will. Though he may forget how many are there and what they all consist of, as soon as he pinpoints what he needs or wants he can pull it up easily. (Ex: A blueprint of an IPod is stored among everything else. It is stored there without interfering with his active thoughts. All until he decides he wishes to build some type of music player. Thinking of that subject his brain will pull the blueprint out of his memory for his viewing. He then wishes to build an eaves dropping device, something he has not seen before. Thinking of that subject nothing would be brought up, and thus would tell him he has no blueprint of that item or anything close enough to it.) Though it would take an extreme amount of focus and training he in theory could simply wish to look through his entire library of blueprints and go through them one by one. But he is not nearly disciplined enough for this yet.

Pros: Diagnosing problems in machines and new tec. As well as having an instant copy of enemy tec if he is to look at it. It can also be used when he wishes to build his own things; he can build off of existing prints to make his own devices.

Cons and Weaknesses: If he takes in too much at one time he will pass out. (Such as large complicated things or from extended use.) He can be forced into seeing a lot and thus made to black out. He becomes rather defenseless while using this skill. Cannot go undercover easily because his eyes glow when the ability is active.

Blueprint list:
  • Simple TV
  • Cell phone, Land line
  • Laptop
  • Doorbell
  • Electronic clock
  • Gameboy
  • Digital Camera
  • Agent Glasses
  • Agent31 pendant(partial)

Personality:
Alistair while shy or grumpy with new people becomes a very affectionate person with his friends. More of a loner he prefers small groups, crowds quickly overwhelm him and he will tend to try and finds the best place to hide or retreat to, to escape the fate of social interaction on a mass scale.
He has always viewed things a little differently since he was a child. It makes him creative and brilliant as he thinks outside the box. But it creature a wonder with the world in him, a part of him he tries so hard to hide, yet it is a wonder that there is almost nothing that can destroy it. Even to this day he can get excited over the smallest of things, watching a butterfly fly, or seeing a flower bloom. It fills him with a joy he will probably always have. This however makes him a rather overly curious person. A trait that he gladly will share with every person he comes in contact to.
Even as perky as he sounds he is actually a rather grumpy person around all but the closest of people, opting to grumbling about things quite often. As well as a cynical side that shows up now and then from how he was raised.

Class: Hacker

History: Abandoned shortly after birth Alistair isn’t able to remember his parent’s faces, he was dropped off at an orphanage and lived there throughout his childhood. A child being dropped off was a normal enough occurrence in the harsh times, all over the world and not just in his home land of Austria. But a child turning out to have not only a tail, but eyes that have an unearthly bright glow was an oddity. Something never scene, most would have thrown him out, drown him, or handed him over to the government.

To his luck the woman there that night did none of those things. She named him, and called him by her own surname. She would take care of him and hide him, growing up she became his nana to him. He loved her like the mother he would never know. It did not matter to his young eyes that she was clearly in her later years, nor that she had to walk with a cane on most days. She kept the staff silent about the strange child and kept him as far from the other children as she could in his infant years. As he grew and learned she taught him how to hide his tail and cover his eyes to keep them from being noticed. Using the lie that his eyes where too sensitive to light to be exposed from under the cloth.
Few of the children noticed him, off in his corner he never talked much to them. Quiet he would draw or read the books his nana would bring him. Only one of the other children ever took notice in him, a boy named Calvin, a few years older than himself; who slowly crept closer one day determined to get the strange child, who read for under a blindfold, to talk. Eventually Alistair does break his silence, though it takes three full days before he does. From that moment on the two boys became fast friends, doing nearly everything together. Becoming as close as any brothers might be.

Once he was old enough the older woman made sure he would work hard in school, she saw the potential in him that others might not because of his oddities. Unfortunately shortly after starting school he would often faint, for reasons no one could figure out. Determined that he would learn even once he was deemed too ill to attend school the elderly woman taught him herself, homeschooling him. A blessing hidden in a weakness. Away from the classroom he was able to grow and flourish, learning past that which his own age group was just starting to grasp at. It did not take long for him to catch up with his beloved ‘older brother’. It became a pleasure for him, constantly expanding his mind.

Even at a young age he seemed to understand technology like no one his age should. Though not around very many things at the children’s home he manages to toy with a few things. Fixing the one phone they had before the electrician could even find the problem, somehow managing to get channels on the old tv that they should not have been getting, even wiring the doorbell to the porch light one night for fun.

Though it was not an extravagant life by any means, nor was he ever adopted, he still managed to enjoy his little corner of childhood. He ignored the world outside of his little home, until the year he was fifteen that is. That was the year, in which Calvin turned eighteen. No longer legally a child the older boy had to leave the children’s home. Though the older was prepared for that day, Alistair had not thought what it meant past being another birthday. Calvin had been working and saving up to live and work in a small inn. Taking care of carrying luggage for guests; As well as playing piano in the evenings. He was not far away, but his life became busy.

Calvin had felt bad that Alistair felt left behind; he tried his best to include him in his life, even when he got engaged to the innkeepers daughter, no matter how much his fiancé and Alistair seemed to dislike one another. Calvin got him his first laptop for his eighteenth birthday, he had saved up all year to try and get him something he would really like, and let Alistair stay with him in his little room at the inn he worked at when he had to finally leave the children’s home. Being back with his best friend brought a spark of happiness back to Alistair’s life. Feeling like he needs to start earning money to he starts off designing a website for the inn. The small spark of creativeness he found on the internet there explodes into a fascination boarding on obsession for him. He masters the CSS coding in a month, he had never been so excited in his life to find something so fascinating. To watch human nature without having to be near it. He could see people interacting back and forth through different things.

But sitting back and watching started to become boring, he knows the coding he learned is only the basics. He wants to know MORE. Late at night he starts to explore the trickery side of it. He tests it out on simple websites first. Hacking into them and tweaking their codding. At first he fixes things the owner had made mistakes on. But he found it was more fun to mess with them instead. They could not find him, he could block them from doing so. Simple changes and pranks showed him how to do more. How to tear down firewalls and security, mixing their codes so that it would take quite a while to repair or replace it. While it was all good and fun his curiosity starts to get the better of him. How FAR could he go, how much could he learn of things that people wishes to keep hidden. Each new obstacle was a testing of his skills. Each file he hacked into thrilled him. He learned that not only could he wreck a security wall, but he could find cracks and slip through those without them even knowing.

All information was fascinating to him, but there was one gem he so wished to dig up. He wanted to know what he is, why he wasn’t like the humans around him. Even Calvin was entirely human, he could laugh and cry like his friend. But he would never be like him. No matter how hard he dug into hidden files, no matter how long he watches his friend. He could never figure out what it was he didn't have that the people around him did. What made THEM human and not him. There where the physical differences, but it was more than that. Even people can be born with anomalies. But he felt utterly…. Inhuman.

Life passed him, and he felt like an outsider. Watching Calvin grow and marry. Seeing his newborn son, and watching the mother shriek in terror when see walks in to see him holding the boy. Amusing the infant by bobbing the glowing end of his tail above him. Letting the infant bat at it, listening to his peeling of giggles. Hiding in the corner as she threatened him. Broom handle in hand, to get the infant back. Yet clutching to it, afraid that as soon as he let go she would hit him again anyways. Calvin always had to act as a mediator between his wife and Alistair after that. Trying to keep her from telling anyone. It made the inhuman boy retreat to his computer world more, trying to desperately find what he was. Where he belonged.

His search drove him to look in more restricted areas. He started trying to hack the government’s files. But mentions of inhuman peoples were brief, hinting at so much more. If only he could get at it. But it danced just out of his reach. He spent a full year digging through, well rather classified files, trying to find any hint about those not human. Until the day he was finally caught. It was the first day he saw that word used as a name for something. ‘Agents’. He had noticed something off that day. Someone else was snooping around the files he was in. It took some work but he managed to grab onto the signal, riding along with it to find what it is doing. Following the signal took a lot of focus, and just as he thinks he will learn something he is discovered. The signal disappears and his programs shut down leaving his background as a taunting smirk. The troll face. He had been out witted by one of the Agent hackers. It was almost painful how close he had gotten to what he wanted to know. Only to have the mat pulled out from under his feet. Shut out from the files he wanted by walls stronger than he had ever scene.

A week or so after the incident he starts to find weird locked files on his laptop. It takes a bit of effort but he manages to crack them open. Each one contains a small message. ‘Would you like to know what you are?’ ‘You’re looking in the wrong place you know.’ ‘Would you like to join us?’ ‘You could find out all about what you are with us.’ He puzzles over these small notes for days. Until there comes a knock at the door. Most people didn't know there was a small one bed one bath apartment above the inn, none the less would knock.

Opening the door to a small female, one with golden eyes, shocks him. Normal people didn't have golden eyes. She offered him a new life, with people more like himself. Where he could find out about what he was. He just had to join the Agency. Sad to leave Calvin and his nana behind, he knows he would never be happy living in the dark about whom and what he is.
